REAG News: Branch Offices Off to a Positive Start

JUST having a sign prominently displayed in The REAG Branch Office obviously is not the ember that is going to create an inferno of conversation regarding farm & ranch real estate sales. TV monitors displaying Farm and Ranches FOR SALE and a assortment of Farm & Ranch tid-bits that generate conversation about the Farm and Ranch business and real estate sales will be in all REAG Branch Offices the 1st Quarter of 2007. I am at present talking to several cooperative brokers and associations about advertising their properties along with ours. This will help expose our customers to a greater availability of property on the market.

At present, we have 6 branch offices the first signed-up in February of this year and to date the network has generated three listings, and several prospective buyers for specific properties. That is not a bad start.

More agents and branches coming on board. Michael Johnson in Hebbronville will be signing up this quarter as a branch office and agent for the network. Jeff Dyer, Rudys Feeds in Falfurrias will be joining the REAG network this fall. Coral Bowman, Bryan College Station has completed all her courses and is scheduling her exam. Coral has two branch locations poised for membership after her exam. Evy Parker recently passed her real estate exam and will be assisting the REAG network. Georgia Lawson has come on board as admin assistant, and will start classes this fall.. JC Noyes, a farm and ranch specialist will be joining the REAG team this quarter as well.

In just 3 quarters we have established a good foundation for the REAG net-work. We will round out year with a total of 10 Branch Offices.

Texas: One of three states dominating population growth

The projections say that the top three states will gain 12 million people each by 2030. Texas, Florida and California will account for nearly half of total U.S. population growth (46%) in the next 25 years.

Land Fragmentation

"Nothing stays the same forever. Not even rural Texas. Across the state, expansive rural lands are being sliced and diced into smaller tracts. Some places that were rural have become suburbs almost overnight."

Doing Well By Doing Good

"A real estate agent and a buyer have located a property ideal for the buyer's needs. The property is not for sale, however, so the agent contacts the property owner to ask if he might be interested in selling. The owner explains that although he has little current use for the property, the sizeable capital gain tax liability the sale would generate is keeping him from marketing it."
